Rnadom Mutterings and musings

Once more I find myself shocked and appalled by the sheer disregard our government shows for the way they spend the honest taxpayers hard earned money. I finally had the misfortune of seeing the ugly(Read hideous) statues that Mayawati is erecting. As if seeing her in reel life wasnt bad enough now people will be constantly reminded constantly of our helplesness as regards our own government. Should an elected representative (Who shouldnt have been elected to begin with) really have so much power ?

I mean being able to waste 200 crores worth of funds on something as vile as a Mayawati statue is nothing short of ridiculous. That money could have fed thousands of hungry people. It could have been given out to farmers in state as relief since the late monsoon has resulted in burnt crops all over. Instead we have large numbers of 'behn ji' statues being erected in honor of a chief minister who probably cant even recite declaration of independence. Though im sure she remembers her bank account details quite well. Seeing as the deposits are so frequent. Gifts does she call them. The elephants surrounding the grotesque erections do nothing to improve the design, in the end merely acting as deterents so that the innocent bystander might avoid a seizure or other mild ailments upon seeing the bootless waste of his own blood and toil. so this is what our forefathers have left fopr us is it?

A system so depraved that its very existance threatens to weaken and sap us. Control needs to be shifted more to the people. The government has too many arms and is turning each year into what seems to this writer to be a many armed monster preying upon all that it can grasp. Sadly the one true hero of the entire nation, our judiciary too, seems helpless before this improved chimaera. Lte us hope that some knight in shining armor appears or that we the youth can become as such for if nothing is done....soon there maybe nothing left to do anything for.
